ABOUT CHRISTINA LOFTUS

A career built at the intersection of law and human development.

Christina Loftus, JD, LCSW/LICSW, ACC, is the founder of HumanEsq™. Her work brings together experience in law, clinical social work, professional coaching, lawyer assistance, and Human Operating Systems Architecture to help legal professionals and organizations develop the capacities their work and future require.

THE THROUGH LINE

Understanding the profession—and the human within it.

Christina began her career as a practicing attorney, spending more than a decade inside the systems, expectations, and pressures that shape legal work. Her later training and practice as a licensed clinical social worker deepened her understanding of stress, trauma, behavior, relationships, identity, and change.

As a clinician with the Texas Lawyers’ Assistance Program, she worked directly with lawyers, judges, and law students confronting challenges that professional training alone had not prepared them to navigate. Her work as an ICF-credentialed coach added another dimension: supporting people not only in addressing difficulty, but in developing toward possibility.

Across these roles, the same question continued to surface: What helps legal professionals build the human capacities needed to meet the complexity of their work without losing themselves in it?

WHY HUMANESQ™

Human capacity is not the soft side of legal performance. It is the foundation.

HumanEsq™ grew from Christina’s conviction that the legal profession cannot meet increasingly complex demands through more information, technology, or resilience messaging alone. Lawyers and legal organizations also need ways to understand and develop the human operating systems through which judgment, leadership, relationships, creativity, adaptation, and ethical action become possible.

Human Operating Systems Architecture offers Christina a whole-human, developmental framework for this work. It allows HumanEsq™ to look beyond isolated skills or symptoms and consider the person, the environment, and the larger systems shaping performance and change.

This is the foundation of HumanEsq™: development that respects the complexity of the human and creates change that can hold.
